Welcome to the Family Law Bubble

FamilyBubble is a new online community for practitioners and students of English Family Law. Its aim is to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and best practice, and to provide a forum for discussion. This covers not only legal developments, but what practical (and, especially, technological) steps can be taken to improve our service to clients.

The creation of this site was rooted in two basic principles:

• that clients should be able to assume that all family practitioners have a thorough understanding of law and procedure
• that we owe a duty to clients to keep costs to a minimum

The goal is provide a free library of legal resources and to explore how, and to what extent, lawyers can share their existing know-how in pursuit of these principles. Consideration of how Web 2.0 technology can be utilised to further these aims is of particular interest.
